| The Gyrocenter Data centre is a relatively young, but for that very reason a modern data centre; a.o., it is used by Tele2 for broadcasting television through the Internet. The Gyrocenter meets the highest telecom demands, which are many times tougher than those of a normal data centre. The Gyrocenter is also ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, which entails that everything has to be carried out in accordance with a safety protocol. | The Databarn Datacenter has been existing for many years; in 2006 it was taken over and the data centre became vacant. As Spango Internet was looking for a location in the vicinity of the Gyrocenter, the Databarn has become our second location. The Databarn is a very modern, well-organised data centre, which might even be called state-of-the-art. | |

| The Gyrocenter is surveilled 24 hours a day by means of a CCTV (Close Circuit Television) which registers anything and anyone in and around the data centre. In order to reach the Spango Internet Cage you will receive a PAC key card (Proximity Access Card). With this card you can only enter the data centre and the Spango Internet Cage; the other doors cannot be opened with this key card. | The Gyrocenter has been equipped with an Aspiration Fire Dectection System which has been linked to VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus). The most important device is the MIST- Fire Extinguishing System. In case of a fire the data floor is filled with the oxygen-replacing Argon gas and accordingly the fire will be extinguished due to lack of oxygen. The equipment will not be damaged by the Argon gas. | The Databarn has been equipped with an entire wall of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems. In case of a power cut these UPS systems supply the data centre with power for 45 minutes. In the mean time the three diesel generators are started which can supply the data centre with power for 48 hours. The data centre also has a load bank which can test the UPS at any moment without risking a loss of power. | |

| Air-conditioning, or better called climate control, keeps the temperature on the data floor at a constant temperature of 21° C with a margin of 2° C. The air humidity is regulated as well: it is kept between 50% and 10%. In case of smoke detection a fire extinguishing system will not be activated automatically, but instead there are manual CO2 fire extinguishers throughout the building; within ten minutes guards will be present to extinguish the fire. | |
